We are trying to use this and errors aren’t being handled even on our test site w/ just Klarna and WooCommerce installed (and storefront, so no custom theme)

For repro:

* Have Klarna Payments turned on (test mode or live mode)
* Try checking out with a US address, with a mismatched zip code
* Klarna pops up it’s popup to go through trying to confirm, but it eventually redirects to
a bad URL:
https://YOURSERVER/checkout/Klarna%20Payments%20API%20Error:%20409%20Conflict%20%20Not%20matching%20fields:%20%5Border_amount,%20order_tax_amount,%20order_lines%5B1%5D.total_amount%5D
vs handling the error (either on that redirect or in the popup itself)

Note: Sometimes the listed errors are different, but this is a common one.

Note: We aren’t sure where best to file tickets, so filed at Woocommerce.com as well, as will do in the Github repro. Sorry for overexposure, just trying to get to the right person.

I’ve closed https://github.com/krokedil/klarna-payments-for-woocommerce/issues/202 as GitHub issues are for code changes, so answering here regarding support questions like this one.

The error in your bad URL shows the error message from the Klarna Payments API call. There is something specific to your store that is updating the Woo order data after the user attempts to place the order; the order data is changed between the plugin’s client side JavaScript authorize call (https://developers.klarna.com/documentation/klarna-payments/single-call-descriptions/authorize-the-purchase/) and the server side create order call (https://developers.klarna.com/documentation/klarna-payments/single-call-descriptions/place-order/). The data for these two calls much match, otherwise the order won’t pass Klarna validation.

Perhaps is there a tax plugin in your store that might be the culprit? To debug further, access to your test environment would be helpful. In order to exchange information directly, could you please open a support case via [email protected]

I can repro this with https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-avatax/ installed. (and not without). I’ll email.

Just to confirm – this one was caused by our theme. We are good to go on this one.

(Though we have run into a new, I’ll file a new case on that)
