Up until about 2 weeks ago, there was no problem with this plugin. I made no changes to the site or added any additional plugins – it simply stopped working correctly.

Here’s the issue: When attempting to add an item to the cart, after selecting both of the two availble options, the pop up box “Please select some product options before adding this product to your cart.” comes up. When the WooCommerce Payments plugin is disabled, this error goes away. PayPal payments are the only option and work correctly.

Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions you can give to resolve this.

  • Hi @rogerinkart

When attempting to add an item to the cart, after selecting both of the two availble options, the pop up box “Please select some product options before adding this product to your cart.” comes up. When the WooCommerce Payments plugin is disabled, this error goes away. PayPal payments are the only option and work correctly.

From what I understand, you’re experiencing an issue with the WooCommerce Payments plugin. It seems to be causing an error message to pop up when you try to add an item to your cart, even after you’ve selected all the available options. This is a known issue with the latest version of WooCommerce Payments, which can prevent users from adding variable products to their carts.

I’m sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you and your customers. As a temporary workaround, I would recommend downgrading to the previous version of WooCommerce Payments, which is version 6.1.1. You can download it from this link: ?? WooCommerce Payments 6.1.1

Here are the steps to downgrade your plugin:

    1. Deactivate and delete the current version of WooCommerce Payments from your WordPress dashboard.
    2. Download the previous version (6.1.1) from the link above.
    3. Go to your WordPress dashboard, then Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
    4. Choose the downloaded file and click ‘Install Now’.
    5. After installation, click ‘Activate‘.

?? Note: Please ensure that you have a good backup of your full site and database in place before making any changes, so that, should something go wrong, you are able to easily restore your site to a functioning state.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. If you have any more questions or need further help, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

OK, looks like that worked. That really caused me a lot of problems and a few sales, I hope the developers do more testing the future so this kind of thing can be kept to a minimum. Thanks for your help.

We had the same issue as well and the rollback also worked. Hopefully this can be resolved soon so we can keep the plugin up to date and have our storefront still work. The site uses the GoStore theme if that assist with any troubleshooting.

I’m thrilled to hear that the rollback worked for you too! It’s crucial to keep your plugins current, and we understand how this issue might have inconvenienced you.

Our developers are on top of this known issue with the latest WooCommerce Payments version and are putting in their best efforts to fix it. The fact that your site uses the GoStore theme is an invaluable piece of information for our troubleshooting process. I’ll make sure our development team gets this detail.

For now, we suggest sticking with the 6.1.1 version of the WooCommerce Payments plugin to prevent any further disruptions.

Feel free to start a new topic if you encounter any other issues or have any questions.

    Have a wonderful day!
