    Hi,

The Popular Posts tab does not show random posts – the plugin actually counts post views (starting from the day it is activated) and orders posts by that value in the popular tab. The view count is stored in the post meta (custom field) named _wpt_view_count for each post.

    Hope that helps.

my wp-tab-widget doesn’t show the right results for popular tab. I have an article that counts 797 post views and it isn’t in the first three topics of the widget. The first post counts 504 views, the second 367 views and the third post counts 404 views. What can i do to solve this problem ??? I disable the plugin and i re-aneble it but nothing change.

    Hello,

Could you please let us know where did you get view count numbers from? Are you using Jetpack or some other plugin for that?

WP Tab Widget has its own counter and it start counting from the day the plugin is activated.

    Thank you.

I use the Count per day plugin in order to count my posts views. What can I do to start over the counter of the wp tab widget ? Can i just reset some variable in the php code of the plugin or i could just delete and re-istall it ?

Thank you in advance for your time @mythemeshop

    Hello,

You could use Post Meta Manager then visit Tools > Post Meta Manager > Delete Meta Keys and insert the key name “_wpt_view_count” to reset your post views on all posts.

    Thank you.
