error renaming .svg files

WordPress doesn’t support .svg files, which plugin do you use to support these files?

I need to install the same plugin because it is impossible to check your issue with .svg file without it.

I’ve made a few experiments and the problem seems due to WordPress management of svg files: the upload of this kind of file is disabled for security reasons.

The plugin you used change the security permission during the upload of the files but it seems that the block still exists when Phoenix Media Rename try to rename the file.

I wrote to the author of SVG Support to ask him to help me in the integration process of our plugins, I’ll let you know as soon as he reply.

hey, wanted to ask if there is any new news about .svg file rename?

I’m sorry but I didn’t find any solution to rename .svg files, the issue seems related to security management (svg files can contain malicious code).

I didn’t find a way to allow the user to rename file: as soon as the file is renamed, WordPress delete it, I also tried to use the same code used in SVG Support to allow the file upload, but it doesn’t work when the file is renamed.

I hope to find a solution in some other way, but still didn’t find nothing, I’m working on Phoenix Media Rename in my spare time, and during the Covid lockdown (I am in Italy) I’m really busy :/
