Error retrieving a thumbnail from the URL using wp_remote_get()

  • Hello.

    The main issue is that until today morning GMT +2 4 o’clock am everything was working smoothly.

    Now I am trying for 2 hours (4.30 pm until now) straight to figure out why I can not fetch a thumbnail for my last 2 video posts. What I get in return after publishing the post and try manually for a thumbnail fetch is this

    Error retrieving a thumbnail from the URL https://img.youtube.com/vi/ylMZrW-mIM8/0.jpg using wp_remote_get()
    If opening that URL in your web browser returns anything else than an error page, the problem may be related to your web server and might be something your host administrator can solve.
    Error Details: Failed to connect to 2404:6800:4002:803::1009: Network is unreachable

    Can you please tell me what is wrong?

    I think Hostgator support gave me a solution on that at least for now … W3 cashing plugin interfere with Video Thumbnails

    “It could be an issue with the plugins interactive with w3, however, it is hard to say. That plugin was causing the following error:
    Request exceeded the limit of 10 subrequest nesting levels due to probable configuration error. Use ‘LimitInternalRecursion’ to increase the limit if necessary.

    Unfortunately, that is not a limit that can be raised on a shred server. It may be worth reaching out to the plugin developer though.”

    Do we have any solutions on that?
