  • Thank you for the feedback @simonmnd

Unfortunately we cannot sort it without getting more details, since we cannot reproduce the issue on our end.

Can you please confirm if you have the WP activity log for WooCommerce extension or not?

Also, can you advise which version of WP Activity Log plugin you had prior to upgrading to 4.1.3 / 4.1.3.1?

    Hi @robert681

Thanks for responding. I don’t believe we have that extension installed.

The version of the plugin was 4.1.3.1.

    Hope that helps,

    Simon. ??

Hi @simonmnd – my name is Daniel, im a developer from WP White Security.

Would it be possible to install the WooCoomerce extension? You can do so via WP Activity Log > Enable/Disable Events within the Third-party plugins tab, or from here https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-activity-log-for-woocommerce/

Also, if at all possible – can you confirm if the file classes/Sensors/WooCommerce.php is present within our plugins files on currently installed on your site?

Looking forward to hearing from you

    Thanks, Daniel

Same issue here. Deactivated the plugin but can’t get back the order detail

    Hi @distinctivepixels

I’ve now installed the WooCommerce extension. Should I be looking for that file under the extension’s files, or the original plugin? Under the original WP Activity Log plugin I can see that folder present but the file is FrontendWooCommerce.php instead?

    (@distinctivepixels)

@simonmnd Sorry I was not clear – the file classes/Sensors/WooCommerce.php im referring to is in the main WSAL plugin, so thanks for confirming your not seeing it. Thats should be the case.

In the meantime, I have another branch of WSAL (not the extension) iv been working on which another user experiencing the same issue has reported back as being fine, you can download it here https://wpactivitylog.com/downloads/wsal-plugin/wp-activity-log-woocommerce-issue.zip

Give it a shot and let me know how you get on

Thanks, Daniel @ WP White Security

Same issue here. any help ?

Finally deactivate audit log and orders are now at the right status. Thanks everyone !

@alexblancflora Please try my suggestion (see previous replies) – installing the version I link (and the WooCommerce extension if you want WC alerts etc) should help, though do report how you get on

Thanks, Daniel @ WP White Security

did anyone fix this? I’m having the issue too now.

I’ve the same problem. What’s exactly the solution?

Hello all, yes we have fixed the issue. Please:

    1) Download the temporary patch: https://wpactivitylog.com/downloads/wsal-plugin/wp-activity-log-woocommerce-issue.zip

    2) Install the WooCommerce extension: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-activity-log-for-woocommerce/

Later on today we will release the patch in an official release.

This patch only fixed orders for the future. How can we get back the lost data from the orders that came in during the break? We received funds from these customers, but their orders are blank. That needs to be patched too.

    Hello everyone,

We have just released WP Activity Log 4.1.3.2, which addresses this WooCommerce issue. Please update your copy of the plugin to fix this issue.

Also, if you would like to keep a record of the changes on your WooCommerce store, from now on you have to install the Activity Log for WooCommerce extension.

Read the 4.1.3 release notes for an explanation on why we have pulled out the WooCommerce sensor from the main plugin and released it as an extension.

    In regard to this problem:

    1. First and foremost, I would like to excuse myself unreservedly for the inconvenience this issue has caused you and your business.

    2. As many of you might know, we extensively test our plugins before we release them. Though WooCommerce is a very complex plugin, with a lot of extensions of its own, and it is impossible to test and simulate every possible scenario. As a matter of fact, we still cannot reproduce this issue in our test environment. Though with the help of a few users, we managed to run the tests and confirm the fix.

    3. We are not using this as an excuse. We’ve learnt a lot from this mistake, and we will apply what we’ve learnt to improve our current testing platforms and procedures.

    4. Unfortunately there is no way you can retrieve the missing orders data. Though not all is lost. At least, you have the customers’ contact details, so you can contact them to verify the order. Let’s look at the bright side of things; it’s an excuse to get in touch with a possibly new customer. Nothing beats personalized service.

    5. If you have been affected by this problem, and you would like to share more details about your setup (which help us better understand what happened), give us feedback, vent out and send a nasty email (I understand you), please send me an email at [email protected]. I’d like to hear from you and I will reply to every email individually.

    6. To make up for this I’ll give you a free 1-year license (or extend your existing license) of the premium edition.

Thank you very for all those who reported the issue and those who have helped. I really appreciate your patience.

    Regards,
    Robert Abela

I had the same issue for a client, disabled activity log and fixed!

    Thanks guys
