Error sending abandoned cart emails

scheduled functions not working, plugins dont allow auto-update and now scheduled woocommerce cart abandonment emails only sporadically go out. It shows what times they were supposed to go out but just says scheduled emails will be sent at the scheduled time even though its past that time.

can someone please help?
