Error setting gmail smtp (third party)

  • Hi,

    I get an error pop up message when trying to send a test mail from smtp gmail settings:

    Request Error not JSON
    Fatal Error: cannot declare class phpmailerExceptionm because the name is already in use…

    I know it’s not ideal, but currently I have very few registered users so I want to use my Gmail account to sent emails for now.

    All the setting are correct and enabled – working fine with Contact form 7.

  • It looks like you have another plugin install to manage your WordPress emails. That’s what causing that error message.
