    Hello,

    I receive this kind of error on the dashboard:

    And yes, I previously have Wordfence installed then deactivated and deleted it and also used Wordfence Assistant to clear all leftover data. Can you help me out remove this error?

    I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue.

    There could be multiple reasons for this error.

    Could you check in the first place via FTP does wordfence-waf.php file still exist in your root folder? If so delete it.
    Also check your htaccess file does it contain any define to call this file (wordfence-waf.php) and if yes, please remove it.

    If the above does not help, please try to re-install Defender, as there is a possibility as well, that during the last update of Defender on your site some files were skipped.

    Please let me know about the results.

    Hello,

    I checked my files and there’s no wordfence-waf.php anymore. As I said, I already deleted all Wordfence files. Also, there’s no additional code left by Wordfence on htaccess. Resetting and reinstalling did the trick.
