ERROR: Signal "SIGTERM" is sent to script!

  • Hi There!

    I’m loving your plugin, and used it for many years.

    Having an odd problem on one of my sites. In short, whilst I can run a backup of everything within the database, I’m having an odd problem with my Files based backup.

    I am unable to backup the uploads folder. My error is “ERROR: Signal “SIGTERM” is sent to script!”.

    Any ideas? It appears to only be working on this domain on this server, but other installations on the same server are working fine.

    Hi everybody!
    I wrote few weeks ago for this problem and i don’t understand why sometimes it works and sometimes not.

    During my last 2 backups everything was well..

    I removed the plugin completely with all settings and did a clean reinstall. Now it works great for more than one week. Seems as if the error is gone.

    Ok, seems the Backup grew to big. Now it’s working with some files disabled to backup. Seems like it doesn’t work with sizes > ~60-70MB.

    Just to confirm, deleting the plugin completely and reinstalling solved this issue for me as well for small backups like databases. Large files are not being processed properly (to S3 in this case).

    SIGXFSZ loks like that you are hosting on Strato. Strato does not allow creating files bigger than 64MB with a PHP Script. In moment I dont have a realy good solution for this.

    That is intristing that reinstalling schould help. I have no statement for this.

    The site isn’t hosted on strato anymore, so I found a solution. Thank you anyway! ??

    Unfortunately this error happens on all my client’s webservers. This includes domainfactory, Strato, Evanzo, ProSales, GoDaddy and a few more I just don’t remember. Now, the script DOES store archives above 100MB on my server, so I assume the filesize is not really the issue, right? Haven’t tested if these baackups are actually *working*…would be a pity if not.

    No response from the author for 2 months on a backup plugin is not good.
