I received this error message yesterday and today via email. I did everything I could to see if I had done something wrong, I even reset my site back 3 days to see if there was something I had changed. All my attempts still rendered my customizing page worthless…blank. So I deleted the plug in just before sending this and its working now. Not the plug in, but the customizing feature on my site. I had deactivated the plug in and reactivated it, uninstalled and reinstalled, same problem,so just deleting it entirely has resolved my problem. I removed the links to the error message because the I dont have your plug in on my site right now. Perhaps later on I will try it again. I am using Elementor with Learndash with the Annette theme and genesis platform. All my plugins are up to date. Below is the message I received 3 times through wordpress automated emails..

“Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Uncanny Automator.

First, visit your website (https://wingsnscales.com/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught____________removed link____ and check for any visible issues.

Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.

If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.

To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.

When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
    WordPress version 5.4.2
Current theme: Annette Theme (version 2.0)
Current plugin: Uncanny Automator (version 2.6.1)
    PHP version 7.3.20

    Error Details
    =============
An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 301 of the file /misc/34/145/252/060/2/user/web/wingsnscales.com/wns/wp-content/plugins/uncanny-automator/src/core/classes/set-up-automator.php. Error message: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded – this now just shows 404 error on the page because I removed the plug in…

Probably not much help here, but if you can resolve this issue, that would be great!

    Thank you,
    Christina Miles

    Hi Christina,

Sorry to hear about the issue. The error output isn’t exactly an bug, it just indicates that the server is taking longer than it should to set some things up and is then timing out. Could you contact your hosting provider and check if they would help with increasing the maximum execution time from 60 seconds untill the error disappears?

See https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-fatal-error-maximum-execution-time-exceeded-in-wordpress/ for more details about the error and ways to resolve this.

I’m not sure if you’re a Pro user, but if you have a Staging site and the host has increased the execution time allowed but it doesn’t fix things, it would be great to get temporary access to your Staging site to see what’s happening.

I tried looking into the host a bit and I do have concerns there; I’m not familiar with who I’m seeing as your host, but it does seem like very inexpensive, non-WordPress shared hosting. If you do have the Pro account I would like to find out more there, but I’m wary of going into too many specific details about your site in a shared forum here.
