"Error Specified key was too long" after upgrade to 4.2.3

  • Today I upgraded to v4.2.3, everything went well and the website is running fine as far as I can tell. But I saw an error log inside the wp-admin folder. Here’s what it says:

    [24-Jul-2015 21:57:21 UTC] Error Specified key was too long; max key length is 1000 bytes de la base de datos de WordPress para la consulta ALTER TABLE xxxxxxxxxx_commentmeta CONVERT TO CHARACTER SET utf8mb4 COLLATE utf8mb4_unicode_ci realizada por wp_upgrade, upgrade_all, upgrade_423, maybe_convert_table_to_utf8mb4

    Is there anything I can do to check if something is actually wrong based on the log?
