Check the WordPress Error Log and let me know what it says — you’ll need to enable the log and submit a form to log the results.

Looks like the HTTP connection is timing out. If you grab the latest code from GitHub and add this filter to functions.php, you can extend the timeout, but the bigger question is: why is a simple POST operation taking more than 5 seconds? That’s the real issue and something I can’t help you with (ask your host).
