Error & The future of this plugin

    Hi,
    Others are saying there is an error during the checkout that prevent customers from purchasing and I too am experiencing the same issue.

    “Error: There was a problem connecting to the payment gateway.”

    This is a great plugin and I’m very appreciative that the author put it out for us to use & at no charge. However, looking more long term, do you think this plugin will be a reliable long-term solution? With the changes with WordPress, and Woocommerce and Stripe, it seems there are too many variables for a 3rd party plugin. Nor am I suggesting that we should expect prompt service and 100% up-time because after it is free. But being that the plugin takes payment, we can all probably agree that it is vitally crucial to our sites.

    So I’m hoping we can get a discussion going regarding everything:
    the future of this Stripe plugin, possible fixes to the error, alternatives (free or paid) that are worth looking into, etc.

  • I just donated $5 four separate times. Developers who dedicate their free time to a plugin like this not only deserve to be rewarded with a donation, but with multiple donations. Let’s hope the quality and quantity of some donations can inspire some critical bug fixes and future support!
