Error: the plugin does not have a valid header

I got the same message too.

I am also experiencing this problem, but I think it leaves a bit deeper than that answer. Here is how I solved it https://take.ms/S9gGP
Just move this 4 lines of code below the ABSPATH check, and it did the trick for me.
