Hello, this plugin does not generate tags itself, it only assigns tags defined by the user. So you have to add some tags first – in your case, it would be “eclipse”. You can do that on the plugin settings page or when editing a post.

Ohh OK. Do you know of a way to generate tags?

There are plugins that use external (e.g. Yahoo) API for this purpose (but they suck, that’s why I created this plugin).

OK, I just want to get tags for already existing posts. It will take me forever to go in and manually give each post new tags one by one. I’m still stuck. Thanks for your help, if you have any ideas please let me know. ??

Well, but I don’t really understand what’s the problem. Why don’t you just specify all tags that you want to be assigned and then use the tool for tagging all posts?

That’s the purpose of this plugin – it doesn’t use any shitty external API to add tags, everything is under user’s control.

Ohh, because each post needs unique tags based on it’s name. If I do what you’re saying, won’t all posts have the exact same tags, or the only other way is to manually give each post it’s tag one at a time based on it’s title/permalink?

Sorry if I’m slow, I guess I don’t get it.

I am not sure why do you need this (tagging posts with unique tags that aren’t used in any other posts is weird – tags are usually used as a way to put similar posts in a different taxonomy than categories), but my plugin can’t help you with that, sorry.

    Hello,

So just to clarify, if you add tags they will be assisted to posts even if those posts don’t contain the created tag name? Is it possible to create tags and only have those tag assigned to posts that contain the tag name? Thanks a lot!

anefarious1: Hi, certainly, just don’t assign any related words to your tags.

The whole point of related words is that you can add for example the tag “procrastination” even if you don’t mention it in the post, as long as you add “procrast*” as a related word, and the wildcard will take care of other words which begin with characters before the asterisk (e.g. “procrastinating”, “procrastinator” etc.).
