After inserting a shortcode in the text of the button on a pricing table block, I get this error: “This block contains unexpected or invalid content.”
And it is not possible to edit the button anymore.

It proposes to resolve or to convert to HTML. But either choice does strictly nothing.

    How to fix it?
Is there a way to add a shortcode in the text of the button? Or instead of the button?

  • Hello @kerfred,

Thank you for reaching out with your question. We do not currently have a method of adding shortcode to buttons. Could I ask what the specific use case for adding shortcode to the button is?

    Regards,

I’m using EDD (Easy Digital Downloads). It creates shortcodes that we can put on pages to display purchase buttons.
It would be great to accept shortcodes in your pricing table block to display the EDD purchase buttons.
Or is there another way to do it?

    Hi @kerfred,

Thank you for taking some time to write up this request. I see that you are looking to use Shortcode buttons within the pricing table block. I think this might be a valuable addition to CoBlocks. I have gone ahead and submitted a pull request on the CoBlocks GitHub here: https://github.com/godaddy-wordpress/coblocks/pull/1465

It requires a review from our developers but if we can approve this and get it merged then we may see this feature in a future release. I will circle back when/if we can get this merged in and let you know.

    Best regards,

    Anthony

I have seen that the feature has been added in 1.26.0. Thank you very much.
But how can we add a shortcode? I don’t see any option.

OK. I have found how to do it.
We have to create a shortcode block outside the Pricing Table, then move it inside the Pricing Table by a drag&drop, and remove the original button.
    It works perfectly well.

Thank you very much for your support.
