Error Thrown in logs and Mail not recieved

    Hello,

    So here’s my issue. I am using Cimy swift and Visual Form Builder. When I use the test function from Cimy Swift I get the message BUT when I try filling out the Visual Form Builder Form I dont get the message.

    Upon disabling Cimy Swift I am able to get the Visual Form Builder Form submission.

    Cimy swift Version: 2.4.2
    I have Cimy Swift set to Always Overwrite the sender and there is any address in the senders email box. Additionally Visual Form Builder has a senders box as well.

    Finally this is the error thats generated in the log:

    mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Warning: key() expects parameter 1 to be array, string given in /var/www/vhosts/myeldernet.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/cimy-swift-smtp/Swift/lib/classes/Swift/Transport/AbstractSmtpTransport.php on line 350, referer: https://myeldernet.com/upcoming-events/simplifying-senior-options/

    I had the same issue with a different site a year ago. Updating fixed the issue that time but didnt help this time. On that note Apologies for disappearing on that last ticket an it wont happen again ??

    Could this issue be something Visual Form Builder is doing?

    “Always Overwrite the sender” requires you have at least an email address specified.

    I do have an email address specified. Additional this only seems to be an issue with Visual Form Builder. I have contact form 7 contact forms that dont cause this error and come through fine. When I submit a Visual Form Builder Form The aforementioned error is generated and the message not sent.

    I wanted to get your input on the issue to see if Its a known compatibility issue between Cimy swift and VFB.

    I also plan to open a support ticket with VFB.

    Like I said many other contact forms I’ve used work fine with Cimy swift just not Visual Form Builder.

    Additionally I realized that the error I provided above is from the wrong site. Below is the correct error:

    Ok I can reproduce the issue, the problem is VFB does set the ‘Sender’ header field and this is not properly handled by the plug-in.

    Fix released with v2.5.0

    Same is happening with me, but using the Formidable PRO plugin… I can’t receive the emails it sends to me when somebody submit a form…

    I can receive the Cimy Swift test email and even the wordpress emails, like the comments notifications.

    I have the last version of both plugins and wordpress.

    Any help?

    I’m sorry but these forums do not support commercial products. Only the free plugins downloaded from https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/. Please contact the plugin’s vendor directly with any questions about commercial products.

    Sorry @esmi, but I think that is not the point. What is happening to me and to the person that created the post can happens to anybody.

    I can try it with the same plugin in it’s free version, if you want, but I’m pretty sure that it won’t change anything.
