• Hi There!

Been using GigPress for years with no issues and I believe this issue is may be related to my host recently updating the version of PHP used in their hosting environment. Anyways, whenever I attempt to access any part of the plugin from the admin dashboard I receive a message displaying “Call to undefined function mysql_real_escape_string()”. Any thoughts on how to resolve and/or a workaround?

  • Hi @sixthgearllc !

Which version of PHP are you using? And do you have the latest version of GigPress (2.3.23)?

Also, which theme are you using? Could you try to switch to the default theme (Twenty Seventeen for instance)? Do you have the same problem this way? Then, could you deactivate all other plugins? Still the same error? (you may read our documentation about Testing for conflicts before doing anything: https://support.theeventscalendar.com/303643-Testing-for-conflicts

Please let me know how it goes ??

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

    Hi Jeremy,

Using PHP 7.2 and most current version of GigPress. First thing I tested was conflicts with the theme or other plugins before opening this support ticket.
