Error: too many failed login attempts

    Hello. Emails starting flooding in today that no one could login to my site. I was then quite alarmed to find out I couldn’t either, as Admin – “Error: too many failed login attempts”

    I was able to use my sites social login to access my admin, and deactivate this plugin, which of course solved the issue.

    I have not changed the settings of this plugin obviously – how could I set it to not let people log in! And am now exploring alternatives as I can’t afford to have this happen again.

    The amazon infrastructure that we rely on is partially down for most of the USA, so we are waiting for them to get things back up. Here’s their status page:??https://health.aws.amazon.com/health/status?but they are also having issues with that page.

    We are expecting things to be up pretty soon though.

    Ah, okay this is great communication. Yes, when I logged into my AWS account I saw some ominous error warnings for us-east-1 region. Great to know that this is a temporary issue, and nothing is wrong with the plugin. Cheers.

    Looks like AWS is back up!! They had an issue with their Lambda services. And we rely on them a lot. Not too bad though for downtime.
