• I have done everything up to the point of running the install script. When I type “https://mydomain.com/wp-admin/install.php” into my browser, substituting my own domain, of course, I get the following message:

    Warning: require_once(/home/p261i9ll/public_html/wp-load.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/p261i9ll/public_html/wp-admin/install.php on line 36

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/p261i9ll/public_html/wp-load.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/p261i9ll/public_html/wp-admin/install.php on line 36

    This sounds serious, so I guess I need some serious help!

  • Try re-uploading all files & folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    I just did that today. The file transfer appears to be complete because the size of each of the files is the same. I wish I had noted the size of the files before I replaced them with the fresh download from WordPress.

    Talking to Register.com, they told me that I was missing my index.php file. However, there is an index file. I can not find a way to see the extension to make sure it is php. However, it the same thing on my computer as on the server.

    Any more ideas. I am still checking everything I can think of.

    Thanks.
