Since I updated the plugin this morning every time I edit a post, I update it or save it it puts in a pink message the following:

Error Updating failed. Error message: the response is not a valid Json Reponse

It should be noted that this message appears only in the editor Gutenberg and although if you save my work it is very annoying. The thing is that it’s solved by deactivating qwuads plugin, at that moment it disappears completely and the only thing I’ve done these last days is to update this plugin and where I realized that the bug was there so fast, please fix it in the next update… Thank you…

I’m sorry to hear that, can you please share a screenshot of that error?

The error in the photo is in Spanish. And it’s been when I update your plugin because if I deactivate it I don’t get this error. This error appears when I save draft or when I update content, I get it at the top of the editor of the WordPress entry with Gutenberg. I hope you can fix it, a greeting.

Apparently it is an incompatibility that has wpquads with the last version of Seo By Yoast Version 14.7. If I disconnect WpQuads does not appear the error to save or update the post, on the contrary if I activate WPQuads but deactivate Seo By Yoast the error disappears… it is an incompatibility between your plugins that affects Gutemberg… the strange thing is that it only happens to me in one of my webs…

If I go back to WPQuads version 2.0.9.1 everything works normally…

I have tried to temporarily disable the ‘REST API: Head endpoint’ in Yoast SEO by performing the following actions:

    – In WordPress, go to SEO> General> Features (tab)
    – Scroll down to ‘REST API: Head endpoint’ and click the toggle button ‘Off
    – Click on ‘Save changes

And disabling this option now I don’t get the message “Error Updating failed. Error message: the response is not a valid Json Reponse”.

The last update of your WPQuads plugin causes a conflict in my WordPress with this function of the Seo By Yoast plugin, because if I install the previous version 2.0.9.1 of WPQuast the problem is solved alone and I do not receive the message “Error Updating failed. Error message: the response is not a valid Json Reponse”. This is all the information I have managed to gather… thank you very much.

I just updated to WordPress 5.5 and the error message “Error Updating failed. Error message: the response is not a valid Json Reponse” keeps popping up. I hope that in the next version of the plugin I can fix it, thank you very much.

I’m sorry to hear that you are facing this issue, Can you share a screenshot of the issue?

Also, try to deactivate all the plugins and then check if the issue is still coming or not? Many other plugins have broke after WP 5.5 compatibility and there’s a chance the other plugin is conflicting with it.

We are also working on a WP 5.5 bug milestone: https://github.com/wpquads/quick-adsense-reloaded/milestone/33 – it will be released by Monday.

No, it’s the same problem I’ve been dragging around since WP 4.5.2.

    It’s only solved if:

    1 Disconnect the WPquads plugin.
2 Or if I go back to WPQuads version 2.0.9.1
3 OR If I disconnect ‘REST API: Head endpoint’ in Yoast SEO (not a bug in the Seo By YoasT plugin).

The problem appeared when I updated the WPQuads plugin to the latest version. Apparently it’s a problem related to the shortcodes and it has to do with ‘REST API: Head endpoint’ . I thought that upgrading to WP 5.5 would fix it but it didn’t.. As I did at the beginning of the thread I attached a picture again and also for you to see that I use custom shortcodes.

PS: I have the same configuration in all my webs and it only happens in one of them so the error is hard to duplicate but it has to do with the 3 points I put above. Thanks for your solution and a greeting.

I have updated to the latest version of WPQuads and the error “ERROR Updating failed. Error message: The response is not a valid JSON response”.
still appears, please fix the last version of this plugin that doesn’t give me this error is the WPQuads version 2.0.9.1. I told you that it only comes off by doing the following (but this is not a solution):
    1 Disconnect the WPquads plugin.
2 Or if I go back to WPQuads version 2.0.9.1
3 OR If I disconnect ‘REST API: Head endpoint’ in Yoast SEO (not a bug in the Seo By YoasT plugin).
4 It is also solved if I go back to the classic editor but this is not a solution since with the youtube videos that I have put in gutenberg they do not appear in the classic editor.

This error has to do with the use of shortcodes in Gutenberg and with REST API compatibility problems: Head endpoint’. Please repair it I have all the advertising placed with shortcodes with your plugin manually and I can’t go back to the classic editor because the Youtube videos don’t appear if I switch from Gutenberg to classic, there is no way back. Thanks

I have also noticed that it gives incompatibility with another plugin that I use called “WP External Links” if I disconnect this plugin everything works perfectly but the fault is WPQuads because if I install the version of WPQuads 2.0.9.1. everything works correctly.
