• I just installed version 2.8.2 on a windows 2008, IIS 7.0 web server. All works well except the theme updates.

I get this error when trying to update:

Warning: fopen(C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wpblog/wp-content/themes/default/footer.php) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wpblog\wp-admin\theme-editor.php on line 54

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wpblog\wp-admin\theme-editor.php:54) in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wpblog\wp-admin\theme-editor.php on line 69

I searched the support forum and can not find a solution. Does anyone know how this permission issue is resolved? It is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

The error is resolved by setting the permissions on the CSS and other files edited by Theme Editor to “everyone modify”. I’d rather NOT have to set it this way, but I can not figure out which user (s) need permission to edit the files.. It’s not admin, system, or IIS user. Who else could it be?
