When I go to activate the plugin, I get this error

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘do’ (T_DO), expecting identifier (T_STRING) in /home/DOMAIN/public_html/wp-content/plugins/kirki/modules/webfonts/class-kirki-fonts-google-local.php on line 83

  • Hello there, which PHP version are you using?

Same problem, just updated, getting error

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘do’ (T_DO), expecting identifier (T_STRING) in /home/idahobeerandwine/public_html/wp-content/plugins/kirki/modules/webfonts/class-kirki-fonts-google-local.php on line 83

    My whole site is down.
    PHP version 5.4

    Help,
    Linda

I’m uploading the fix in version 3.0.29 on www.ads-software.com right now, it should be available in a few minutes.
I can’t replicate this issue on my sites so please check the new version, it should fix this for you.

I just updated to PHP 7 and it activated, and my site is up … so it needs a warning not to use 5.4 at least.

    Thanks,
    Linda

Ah that’s probably why I wasn’t seeing any errors on my sites while testing this version.
Version 3.0.29 should fix this in older PHP versions too.
@krbmedia version 3.0.29 is now available, please try updating to this one and let me know if it fixes the issue for you too?

Fix was confirmed by another user on github so I’m closing this one as fixed.
Thank you for reporting this so quickly so we could get it fixed within minutes. <3

Thanks for your quick response as well!

I got it working by using the version on GitHub and not the one on WordPress

That’s ok, right now they’re the same thing. The version on github just gets updated a few minutes earlier because uploading plugins via SVN to workpress.org is a slower process than updating on github.
