Error validating access token

    Hello!

    I installed this plugin and it worked fine connecting the “quick way”. It refreshed and found new posts from the Instagram account. But after some time I got this error:

    “Instagram Feed is encountering an error and your feeds may not be updating due to the following reasons:

    There has been a problem with your Instagram Feed.
    API error 190: Error validating access token: The session has been invalidated because the user changed their password or Facebook has changed the session for security reasons.”

    I have reconnected the “quick way” as well ass with the loooong access token. Then the feed refreshes fine just one time I think but then the error appears again.

    I have not changed any password and I can see that the plugin is authorized in my Instagram account.

    I have also tried other Instagram plugins with the same result.
    What is wrong?

    Hey @erikture,

    Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. I am sorry to hear you are having issues like these. Instagram controls whether or not an access token becomes invalidated and it does not only relate to the password but any security change or Instagram identifying security issues. Unfortunately, we have no control over this.

    I would suggest you try to connect your account as a Business account following the steps provided in this guide. If this does not help, please reach out to us via the support form on our website here for further assistance, including the System Info from the plugin’s Support tab.
