    Hello,

    First of all thank you for your excellent plugin.

    Here is my problem: after an update from version 1.7.4 to 1.4.7.4 (on several websites), I lost part of the configuration and especially all the new paths defined for the different plugins.

    When I want to re-enter the paths (the same as before), here is the error that I encounter:

    “Value XXX set for New Path for YYY plugin already in use for another option”.

    I know that if I change the names it will work (I already had this problem in the past). But I do not want to change all the virtual paths that are carefully defined in the same way on all my sites.

    Already tried without success:
    – disable / reactivate WP Hide & Security

    Do you think that if I reset all the settings of WP H & S this will work?

    I do not think I’m alone in having this problem…
    Do I have to reset all settings to fix the problem?

    Well, here’s what I just tried to do:

    – Reset all settings: same problem (can not give a previously used folder name)

    – Disable WP Hide & Security, remove and reinstall the plugin: always the same problem!

    Please, indicate which information should be deleted in the database to completely remove the configuration of WP Hide & Security

    Hi,
    Thanks for your feedback. There must be another slug which is the same, within other plugin settings. Those need to be unique for each component to ensure no conflicts will occur.

    Hi, thanks for your help but there was no slug with the same name. Of course it was the first thing I checked.

    The only way I found to fix this problem was to delete the “wph_settings” option directly from the “wp_options” table.

    Indeed, resetting all the settings and reinstalling the plugin still keeps some information in database that causes this error.

    Hi,
    Possible the settings kept some very old settings (i think you use this plugin for some time now ? ) which where slightly changed some time ago. Then when it check for duplicate slug, it also check those deprecated options. I’ll see how the code can be improved for such scenario, meanwhile deleting the “wph_settings” option from the “wp_options” table should make a fix.
