    I am experiencing this error on more and more websites. Could you possibly help?

    Hello @vitaio thanks for getting in touch and sharing your Site Health Information. Could you also please provide the following information:

    1. Does the same occur if you attempt Site Kit set up from a Chrome browser incognito window?
    2. Do you see any warnings or errors when checking your Site Health status (Tools > Site Health > Status), which differs from your Site Health information requested above? Such errors may include REST endpoint references.

    Note that one workaround for this error which you’re encountering, is to manually verify your site on Search Console, before then connecting Site Kit. What’s happening in your case is something is blocking Site Kit from verifying ownership of your site. Once we have the information above we can advise on this further.

    @vitaio thank you for sharing the video that’s very helpful. Can I check if you have yet tried to manually?verify your site on Search Console? If so could you tell me if you ran into any issues or if this all worked correctly?

    If you haven’t tried then could you please try this and once done, attempt your Site Kit setup once more.

    @vitaio Thanks for confirming. When setting up Site Kit it tries file and meta verification – there are some sites that can do one, some can do the other, a small number may not do either. This is possibly what is happening here for you and could be a limitation of your particular configuration. Meta verification is used if the file verification fails.
