Error when activating the plugin

  • The plugin throws the following error upon activating:

    Warning: Unexpected character in input: ‘\’ (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home/taylzdev/public_html/wp-content/plugins/rating-widget/rating-widget.php(431) : eval()’d code on line 38

    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/taylzdev/public_html/wp-content/plugins/rating-widget/rating-widget.php(431) : eval()’d code:38) in /home/taylzdev/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1121

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks for the reply, I upgraded to 2.1.9, but I’m still getting the error when trying to activate the plugin:

    Thanks for the update. Do you have any security plugin? Also, what is your hosting company?

    I don’t really have any security plugins. I am hosting with Memset. Could this be a php issue?
