I’ve been using this plugin for a while without any problems. When I updated to the latest version (3.5.5) today, I got an error when attempting to activate after the update.

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM in /html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/gravity-forms-pdf-extended/pdf.php on line 163

    Currently running:
    Gravity Forms Version 1.8.16
    PHP 5.2.17
    WordPress 4.0

Looks like WP 4 isn’t supported… Hoping this isn’t the cause, but I’d appreciate any suggestions to resolve the problem. Thanks.

    Hi,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble with the latest release.

I wasn’t able to replicate the issue on our testing server. Is it possible for us to get access to your website to debug the issue further? If so, please email temporary WP Admin and FTP details to us at enquire[at]blueliquiddesigns.com.au.

Thanks for the quick response. I updated to the latest version (3.5.6) and was able to activate the plugin again. Problem solved, thank you.

For anyone else who ran into this issue, I had to reinitialize the plugin–Forms, Settings, PDF–and mark the check box to Reinstall Default and Example Templates.
