    Hello,

Seems that Redirection plugin leads to error: “Sorry, the content area was not found in your page.” for Elementor pages/widgets that have been copied for translation by WPML. (Screenshot of errors from 2 of the Elementor widgets: https://ibb.co/k1vtJX1)

After troubleshooting by deactivating plugins it turned out that only when Redirection is off the error does not appear and we can easily open a translated Elementor widget to edit.

That issue does not appear on the original Elementor.

Seems that Redirection interferes somehow with Elementor and WPML. How can we solve this?

Redirection doesn’t do anything unless you configure it to do so. Have you created a redirect for a URL that is being used by elementor or WPML?

Yes, it is due to redirect rule. The rule is to redirect the home page, let’s say domain.com/en to another page but that is the client URL, the Elementor edit widgets seems to follow their own conventions. Example: domain.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=0000&action=elementor

How does the rule interfere with the editing URL? And how can we use the redirect rule so there’s no problem with the admin part?

    Thanks for answering so quickly.

Ok, then you will need to modify your redirect so it excludes what elementor needs, or add a ‘do nothing’ redirect specifically for it.

How do I see what redirects Elementor goes through when opening a page for edit?
As I see the url of the edit page goes in the following format: domain.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=0000&action=elementor
and my redirects try to catch urls with only language notation, ex.: /en/
The above url format does not contain /en/ in any way.

    How can this be handled?

    Thanks

A lot of these questions are more suited for elementor rather than myself – I don’t have the software and cannot say how it works or what you should look for.

You can uses your browser’s developer console to see what requests are being made.
