Tried to install but got error – Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/sites/new-nexusdialogues.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/arlo-training-and-event-management-system/includes/functions.php on line 11

in support forum I saw others had same problem but no replies so no support for this plug-in, pity as it looked good but waste of time..

Update: I did get it installed but afterwards I learned that pricing is over $100/month on lowest price plan so the negative review is being left for this reason

Hello,

That happens because you have an older version of PHP, the plugin requires at least PHP 5.4.

Please review the documentation that accompanies the Arlo WordPress plugin:

Thanks for replying, If I had seen this response in support forum for plugin would not have reviewed. Will update hosting tomorrow and replace review if working

hello, yes I went to a lot of trouble changing to new server & I did get it working but then Isaw have to be joined with Arlo and pricing was too high so had to seek alternative. I think this should be more clear from the start so am not removing the negative review
