Error when posting topic/reply

    Hi,

    Im experiencing an issue when posting a topic/reply in which the page then tries to send the email notification. After submitting you are taken to an error page with the error code ‘Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_convert_encoding() in /wp-content/plugins/bbpress-notify-nospam/bbpress-notify-nospam.php on line 1000

    Tried a couple things but struggling to resolve! any advice?

    Hi @leapness,

    Where are you hosting your site? mv_convert_encoding() should be available in your host’s PHP (what version is it, btw?).

    Anyway, I found a replacement for mb_convert_encoding() and will be applying it later today.

    Aha! Found the issue to be the hosts PHP config! upped the PHP version to 7+ which has mbstring enabled unlike 5.6..
