Hey @imados – It sounds like you can still log in to your WP Admin area so could you please try to uninstall and reinstall the Sensei LMS plugin? It appears some files of the plugin disturbed, which crashed the plugin and showing a critical error.

Let me know how it went!

    Hi Animesh.

Thanks a lot for your replay. How can I uninstall and reinstall the Sensei LMS?plugin without loosing all data, courses created, etc.

    Thanks again!

    Hi @imados

You shouldn’t lose your Sensei LMS data when you delete the plugin. I can confirm for courses, lessons, and questions which are all custom post types.

That said, it is highly recommended to back up your site before you delete the Sensei LMS plugin. If you use a service like Jetpack Backup, you should have an automatically created backup ready for use in the event of any data loss.

    I hope that helps.

    Hi again!

Sorry for the delay. I did update all the files via FTP but the problem persisted so I waited for an updated of the plugin. Today updated Sensei LMS in the back end of WordPress… the problem remain the same.

It is in: Sensei LMS / Qualifications / Automatic qualification. It is that button, when I click on it nothing happens, but instead you have this message:

“There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site administrator’s email inbox for instructions”.

You can do it manual, but for some reason, this button doesn′t work. Any clue what can be the problem?

    Hey @imados!

Do you mean you have remove Sensei plugin and installed the fresh copy?

If it’s still not working after that, there may be something else installed on the site that’s causing problems. The quickest way to figure out if something is interfering is to test for a theme or plugin conflict.

I know it’s less than ideal, but could you please try the following:

    • Temporarily deactivate all the site’s plugins except for Sensei LMS and clear your browser’s cache. Then try check again. If it doesn’t show any error now, then we’ll know that another plugin is conflicting here. You can re-enable your plugins one by one, trying check in between, until you find the one causing the conflict. You can leave it disabled or reach out to the plugin developer for a fix.
    • If disabling plugins doesn’t help, it may be the theme. Temporarily switch your theme to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Twenty. Then try check again. If it doesn’t show any error now, then you know it’s a problem with the theme, and you can reach out to the theme developer for a fix.

    Hi again.

Yes, I did both, remove Sensei plugin and installed the fresh copy in the first place. But updated to a new version with the WordPress update tool as recently a new version came out.

I have deactivated all the plugins and checked again. But when I press the button to evaluate nothing happens. Shouldn′t change the state of the qualification when I press automatic qualification??…

I did also deactivated the theme, but I doubt is the cause of the problem. It is GeneratePress, a very reliable theme.

    Hello @imados,

We received another couple of reports related to this issue, and we have escalated this to our developers’ attention (I wasn’t able to replicate on my end, yet, unfortunately).

Can you just confirm what version of Sensei LMS you ran when you discovered the problem? Thanks!

    Hi!

We had sensei-lms.4.11.2. I did try updating the very same version via FTP as you suggested. After that I saw in the backend / plugins, there was an update so now we are under 4.13.0.

    Thanks for your help.

Hey @imados – has the issue been resolved after updating to 4.13.0?

Also I want to let you know that we have released a new version of the plugin ~10 hrs ago so could you please update the plugin to 4.13.1 and let us know if the issue is resolved or not?

    Hi again.

Sorry for the delay but the customer didn′t answer my email until now. Apparently the issue is half resolved. Yes it does work the automatic evaluation. However is says all your answers are wrong. So it shows an not accurate score 0/30.

Beside of that, there is another thing. When you do the quiz you get a message telling that the percentage of correct answers you need to hit to guess is 0%. That message was not shown before. The client doesn’t know if there were a kind of message with a minimum right answers.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Hi @imados,

Yes it does work the automatic evaluation. However is says all your answers are wrong. So it shows an not accurate score 0/30.

It’s hard to diagnose the problem without seeing how the original Questions were set up. Would you share a screenshot of the Quiz Editor, showing how correct answers are formatted there?

Also, have you tried autograding this again after you have updated Sensei to the latest version? The latest Sensei fixed the autograding issue, so I recommend trying autograding again if you haven’t already done so.

thing. When you do the quiz you get a message telling that the percentage of correct answers you need to hit to guess is 0%. That message was not shown before. The client doesn’t know if there were a kind of message with a minimum right answers.

It seems like you have “Pass Required” setting with 0% as the required grade. I recommend checking the Quiz Settings within the Lesson editor, and check if “Pass Required” setting is enabled like below:
