Error when running Amp test

– What browser and browser version are you using?

– In pages 8 and 9, there’s a video that consistently shows “video failed to play“. How did you upload these videos? Was it through the WordPress media library or did you upload it inside the editor?

– could you share the video URL for page 8?

– I am using Safari version 13.1.3 (15609.4.1)
– I have uploaded both ways, some through the WordPress media library and some via inside the editor?

one note, I uploaded videos for this web story below and it worked fine, showing me thumbnails/posters both in media library and in the web stories editor.

@rachgur Thanks for your quick reply! Could you try the following steps:

1. Edit story
2. Remove videos completely from page(s)
3. Re-add videos through the media library on the left side

I did that and these things happened.

1. the first time I uploaded all the videos did not have poster images
2. after refreshing some videos had poster images but the latest upload did not
3. when I look at media library via my phone word press app I can see the poster images for the videos

@rachgur thanks so much for these details!

We have some improvement for poster image generation in the next version 1.2.2 that may address this issue. We’ll follow up when it’s out to update and look into this further.
