• Hi everyone,

Commenting used to work perfectly well on my blog (https://necpluribusimpar.net/wp-admin/), but recently one gets an error message every time one posts a comment. The comment still goes through, but it’s still pretty annoying, so I’d like to fix it. Here is the error message:

“Warning: Missing argument 2 for Endurance_Page_Cache::comment(), called in /home2/necpluri/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 300 and defined in /home2/necpluri/public_html/wp-content/mu-plugins/endurance-page-cache.php on line 167

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home2/necpluri/public_html/wp-content/mu-plugins/endurance-page-cache.php:167) in /home2/necpluri/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/subscriptions.php on line 722

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home2/necpluri/public_html/wp-content/mu-plugins/endurance-page-cache.php:167) in /home2/necpluri/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/subscriptions.php on line 728

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home2/necpluri/public_html/wp-content/mu-plugins/endurance-page-cache.php:167) in /home2/necpluri/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1195”

Since the error message mentions Endurance Cache, which is a must-use plugin automatically installed by BlueHost that I recently deactivated (see https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/updated-post-title-doesnt-show-on-homepage/), I suspect it has something to do with this. But I tried to reactive the plugin and I still get the error message, so I don’t know what’s up.

I would be very thankful for any help you may offer me with this problem!

Unfortunately, I don’t remember if I started getting the error message before or after I deactivated Endurance Page Cache…

I am having the same issue. I’m trying to get in touch with Bluehost to see if they can resolve. Have you had any luck?

Unfortunately not… Please let me know if you figure it out and I will do the same.

I contacted Bluehost customer support. They disabled Endurance Page Cache on their end and everything is working now!

After they disabled it, I was also able to see what people had tried to comment while commenting was down in the “spam” section.

had same prob… called bluehost and they walked me thru solution…

    1) launch cpanel file manager … make sure enable ‘hidden files’
    2) navigate to /your wp folder/wp-content/mu-plugins/
    3) should see file called ‘endurance-page-cache.php’
    4) rename to something like ‘endurance-page-cache.old’

    that solved my prob..
ironically, the ‘mu’ in ‘mu-plugins’ is ‘must use’

    1) launch cpanel file manager … make sure enable ‘hidden files’
    2) navigate to /your wp folder/wp-content/mu-plugins/
    3) should see file called ‘endurance-page-cache.php’
    4) rename to something like ‘endurance-page-cache.old’

I had the same problem, did exactly this, and it was fixed instantly thanks guys.

thank you so much, Post comment started working fine after changing the file name from endurance-page-cache.php to endurance-page-cache.php.old.

    cheers

Same problem faced by me. Renaming to endurance-page-cache.php.old did the trick.

    Thanks a ton, kroneium!

    Hi Guys,

Im facing the same problem. However, can anyone guide as in how to get to this
    2) navigate to /your wp folder/wp-content/mu-plugins/?

    Where should I click on?

Oh so sorry guys, managed to get it solved.

    Thanks!

Had the same problem! Solve it when rename the file to

    endurance-page-cache.php.old in bluehost cpanel/file manager

By the way, do you know how I can edit the reply from my web when someone input a comment? Thanks a lot!

Hi I am having the same problem but cannot work out the step
    2) navigate to /your wp folder/wp-content/mu-plugins/
    I cannot find it!
    any suggestions?

    hi emily….

    1) i assume you got into cpanel and then file manager with ‘hidden files’ ok
    2) “navigate to /your wp folder/ means that when you are in file manager, first click on the domain name where you installed wordpress. that is ‘your wp folder’
    3) for example if you installed wordpress into /emilysdomain then click on that folder in file manager to open it.
    4) then you should see several folders with one of them called wp-content.
    5) open wp-content and you should see another folder /mu-plugins/
    6) should see file called ‘endurance-page-cache.php’ … change the name….
