Error When Transferring From an IIS to a Linux Server

  • Hello Everyone,
    I was working on creating a website for a company in Ireland, and when I finished, I transferred it from an IIS server to a Linux server. It had a whole bunch of issues with transferring the database, but I got it figured out. Now, i’m trying to change the permalink structure to a custom type /%category%/%postname%/ and it says something about mod_rewrite, or .htaccess (I don’t remember which). I’m also trying to do things like add logos and the like, and it isn’t working, i’ve seen file permission errors all over the site that I don’t know how to change.
