Error when trying to add a theme

  • Hello! I am new to WordPress and wish to choose a theme and start designing my website. when I go to appearance, and press “add a new theme” I receive an error massage: “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.”
    I tried to disable all plugins and still see the error. and van not move forward with building my website. any suggestions?

  • Hi, yaaragoldwyn, please try using the “Health Check” plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ to determine the issue.

    In the troubleshooting tab, you can disable all plugins and have the theme changed while logged in; visitors will see the website as if the plugin(s) and/or theme wasn’t changed.

    I would recommend that you disable all the plugins and see whether the health check plugin indicates an error exists; if so, please post the error in this support topic in a new reply.
