Error when trying to upgrade to WP 2.9?

Hi folks,

Wondering if you can help me out a bit?

I’m trying to upgrade my (under construction) blog, and I’m getting this message:

Downloading update from https://www.ads-software.com/wordpress-2.9.zip.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2515438 bytes) in /mounted-storage/home88a/sub001/sc49167-IEGW/mydomainname.com/wp-includes/http.php on line 1324

I’ve had a look at link 1324 on http.php, but I’m not a PHP programmer so I have absolutely no idea what’s wrong.

$theResponse = curl_exec( $handle );

Can anyone offer any suggestions? I’m completely stumped… I have unlimited hosting space from my provider, so I’m guessing it’s not that?
