Error when trying to upload plug ins and themes

    I have a WP MU site, and I’m having difficulty getting the Admin PlugIn Upload and Themes Upload to work properly.

    I can upload themes via FTP and have not had any problems. However, I have series of plugins that go with my Themify Builder and they don’t seem to have a way to unzip and upload them this way(I have a query in to them at the moment). And I am getting the following error whenever I try to use the WP upload option:

    Unable to create directory uploads/2014/11. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    This happens on every MU site I try to upload from, and the parent directory is set correctly.

    I’ve had the folks at GoDaddy check things, and permissions appear to be ok on everything – we’ve got nearly everything set so that we can get the upload to work but so far nothing. Everything else is working, and they are telling me that their might be a WP code error somewhere. Anyone have any ideas to point me in the direction of? I could sure use it!

    Well it does sound like a permissions problem. The parent folder is not writable. BUT, it could be a PHP script error. Have you checked your PHP or Apache logs? Try that with GoDaddy. Report back if you find some more clues!
