Hello – thanks so much for this excellent plugin. I tried to update to the latest version today. I now have Version 2.1.8.1 but am getting the following error:
Fatal error: Can’t use method return value in write context in /home/content/71/7747071/html/dev/wp-content/plugins/upi-crm-universal-crm-solution/admin/upicrm_settings.php on line 198

    Can you help?

    Hello,
    Thanks for contacting us.
We haven’t come across this specific error message before.
Can you share more information ?
Log files, error codes? something we can work with?
    Thanks
    Uri

Was working fine, but after upgrade to 2.1.8.1 on wp 4.7.1, I get a white screen on admin interface that corrects itself if I rename UPI plugin folder. I’m guessing the fatal error..

    Log file confirms:

[16-Jan-2017 23:57:33 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Can’t use method return value in write context in [mysite]/wp-content/plugins/upi-crm-universal-crm-solution/admin/upicrm_settings.php on line 198.

After rename UPI plugin folder back to normal, attempts to activate the plugin in admin interface are rejected with above error.

Sorry can’t be more helpful.. if you provide a upicrm_settings.php with debug output, I can post sanitized results or email?

I’ve installed the plugin on a fresh wordpress installment and get the same fatal error.
Wordpress version is 4.7.1 and plugin version is 2.1.8.1.

We’ve taken it to our programmer.
Would you like to install the previous version?

    Hi
there was indeed an issue with older versions of PHP on some server, with “older” syntax of PHP code.
we’ve fixed it… sorry about the fuss.
