error when uploading png images

Hi,
I will always get an error while uploading png images.

This file type is not allowed. Please try another.

I tried to add extra mime type image/png using couple of plugins for that but it wasn’t possible. Nothing happened.
I also tried to deactivate a lot of plugins and still nothing.
How to fix this problem? Is there any possible way to add some extra code or something?
