When I contacted my webhost about this problem this is the email I received from them about it.
I do see quite a bit of warnings in the php.log file:

I fixed the memory limit issue I had with the OTHER plugin listed above and it did not fix my nextgen issue. The only other error in my PHP log is this one:

and that one is the ONE consistent error in my log and it goes back to 12/18/17.
