    Hi,

I am using EM with FullCalendar plugin.
I can add events to the calendar and I am able to see the event in the calendar.

While I am still logged into WP (as admin) I can view the event on the calendar and when I click on it, the details of the event is displayed properly.

When I open an incognito session in Chrome (not logged into WP) and click on the event in the calendar, I get an parse error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/mcbc8532/public_html/wp-content/themes/Foursquare_Two/404.php on line 25

I tried a different theme and I am getting similar error.

    Anyone have ideas?

  • Hi,

Are you using any customized Events Manager templates?

It looks like WordPress is trying to redirect to the error page – but obviously that shouldn’t be happening. Have you tried re-saving your permalinks? Could be something not right there.

I don’t think I am using customized EM templates. How can I check to be sure?

I also tried re-saving permalinks and it had no effect.

One thing I did find was that there is 1 event on my calendar that does display the details when I click on it. All other events return that error. When I duplicate the working event to make new ones, those new ones are fine.
When I create a new event from scratch (click on Add New), then I get an error when I try to view the details.

Any other ideas? Thanks for the help.

Ok, I narrowed it down some more.
I just noticed that the events that work have a tag, and the ones that do not work do not have a tag.
When I edit an event that does not work and add a random tag, the details will display properly when I click on it on the calendar.

Any ideas on why that is? Why does the event need a tag? Why can’t I leave it blank?

what happens if you try to temporarily revert back to default wp theme since the error above is pointing to your theme? also, can I know what is your current EM version?

I changed to Twenty Thirteen theme and I get a 404 error page.

I am using EM 5.5.2, EM and WPML Compatibility 0.3, WP FullCalendar 0.8.4.
I believe these are all the latest versions.

while using default Twenty Thirteen theme; can you try to again re-save permalinks at wp settings > permalinks ?

re-saved permalinks with Twenty Thirteen theme activated. Same 404 error page was loaded.

how about if you create brand new pages and assign those as new event pages? you can call them whatever you want to begin with, reassign them in EM settings, and test them out, just to see if it works.

Then, you can rename the slugs etc. of these pages and make them children of the events page, hopefully it’ll still work.

also, do you have sample links for us to try?
