  • What are the emails generated through? A plugin, like for a form? WooCommerce? Anything else?

@threadi Are generated by WordPress (password recovery, account, etc.)

    Hi,

Are the emails being sent out with the wrongly encoded subject titles or only displayed wrong in the receiving inbox?

Knowing this would help you determine where the encoding issue is originating from.

@karolinapan It’s a problem of the subject of the email, the body shows correctly the accent marks… “Bendición” is part of the title of the WordPress website.

I have just tested this. In WordPress 6.1.1 without any plugins and with TwentyTwentyThree as theme. I just installed the plugin here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-mail-logging/ – so I can see the email as it is sent out. Then sent a forgotten password email and don’t see any punctuation problem in the output.

    Question for you therefore:
What version of wordpress are you using?
Can you also test this without any plugins?
