Error with import data

There is an error of the import data. When we export, there are actual and correct details of timestamp and lead management comments. Bur when we import the same data back, the timestamp was the import time, and the lead management comment was empty. Is this even suppose to be right? I can understand the timestamp might be tough to update after import, but why is the lead management comments unable to be updated by the exported data? Kindly assist asap.
