Great plugin, sad to report that I am getting the following error after updating the plugin:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in (my info removed)/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/wp-slimstat.php on line 902

This error screen pops up on everything on both sides of the site. The only way to make my site viewable again was to go into cpanel, and delete the plugin.

    Hopefully it’s an easy fix.

  • Hi All,

I have been having issues as well.

Here is what I have experienced and the answers I have found.

    1) Error logging into the dashboard after upgrade.

This has been solved by deactivating the User Overview Addon. While I get an error on the dashboard, you can go elsewhere in the system successfully, so just go to plugins and deactivate it.

    2) The message asking to accept the intellectual property rights declaration comes in two varieties. Black writing and Red writing. Problem is that on some of my sites the accept button works and some sites it does not work and I cannot get rid of the declaration.

    3) In addition to item 2 above, I am also receiving what appears to be a SlimStat 9 year Happy Birthday message that will not go away and there is no way to make it go away.

    4) In the settings, if I click on the Addons tab, I also receive an error that results in a 500 server error.

    5) I do not see any new visitors to any of the sites now.

If you need a good test bed of a variety of sites with different themes and plugins, let me know. I have 22 of them going and slimstat is acting differently depending on which site you look at.

    Thanks,

    Tom

Tom, we released a preview version a few weeks ago, but unfortunately we didn’t get any feedback from those who accepted to test it. Of course it would be great for us to have people who can test our software in multiple scenarios and with different sets of plugins. Please contact our support team so that we can add you to our list of testers.

    Hi Camu,

Will be more than glad to help. I will contact them shortly.

    Thanks,

    Tom

Woot. Tons of error, no login available. pleaze fix.

    Here also the same error:
Argument #1 is not an array in <my site>/public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/admin/view/wp-slimstat-reports.php on line 501

And I can’t see in overview the visitors and wich pages they’ve been visiting…. very frustrating… an update is fine but when it gives more problems then solutions …..

@all, thank you for your patience. We just released version 4.0.1, which addresses most of the issues. Please let us know if it works for you.

To those highlighting the issue on line 501 (argument is not an array), please go to Settings > Maintenance and click the NO PANIC button on that screen. Does that fix the problem?

The new update fixed my issues – thank you !! I also like the idea that now you have 1 plugin and not 2 – good idea as well !!

    Keep up the great work….

    Morning. I’ve upgraded to the latest version, but am still getting a fatal error;

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘:’ in D:\xxxxxxxx\xxxxxxx\wp-content\plugins\wp-slimstat\wp-slimstat.php on line 946

    Any ideas what’s causing that?

I’ve upgraded the plugin to version 4.0.1 and pressed the ‘No Panic Button’. I get the following errors on the Real Time Log page:

Notice: Undefined index: id in /wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/admin/view/wp-slimstat-db.php on line 124
Notice: Undefined index: id in /wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/admin/view/wp-slimstat-db.php on line 125
Notice: Undefined index: report_id in /wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/admin/wp-slimstat-admin.php on line 129
Notice: Undefined index: slim_p0_00 in /wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/admin/wp-slimstat-admin.php on line 130

And for each entry I get the following errors:

Notice: Undefined index: host in /wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/admin/view/right-now.php on line 152

Notice: Undefined index: outbound_domain in /wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/admin/view/right-now.php on line 162

    NO PANIC button didn’t help.

Is it safe to get back to previous version after updating to version 4?

Also getting plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘:’ in D:\xxxxxxxx\xxxxxxx\wp-content\plugins\wp-slimstat\wp-slimstat.php on line 946

Hi all, not sure why your version of PHP doesn’t like that short syntax. I just pushed version 4.0.2 to the repository to address this issue. Thank you for your patience!

For those not seeing new pageviews tracked, please deactivate the CDN option (Settings > Advanced) as we found out that the tracker script hasn’t propagated correctly. We are in touch with the team managing that service to see why this is happening:

Just updated to 4.0.2 and all is well again.

Many thanks for the impressively quick turnaround on the fixes!
