    I’m unable to access the “Add New Plugin” section. The error message reads something like this.

    “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.”

    My WordPress Installation is just about 20 days old and my website is still under “Coming Soon” mode.

    Please help me resolve this issue.

    Thanks

  • Did you check the error logs? What errors were mentioned there? You seem to be with GoDaddy so read their docs on error logs.
    Did you turn on WordPress debug by adding:
    define('WP_DEBUG', true);
    to your wp-config.php? This so you can either see errors on screen or store them in a log file. More information on debugging can be found at Debugging in WordPress by the way. Also, sometimes this is just a temporary fluke thing? Did you try emptying browser cache and reloading the “new plugin” section again?

    Thanks so much for the response. I’d checked with Hostgator and they suggested me to unblock Port 80. There was an error for the plugin “Calculated Fields Form”. I removed the plugin via File Manager and everything’s working fine now.

    I’ll check with the plugin developer for the cause of the error as I’ll be needing that plugin for my website.

    Thanks so much for the support!
