Error with smart quotes

  • I’m using Wikilookup in an Elementor shortcode widget to lookup the page title in Wikipedia. However, WordPress replaces any apostrophes in the title with smart quotes (using wptexturize) and Wikilookup uses these in the API call, which gives no results.

    Removing wptexturize would not be a solution as smart quotes etc. should be retained elsewhere, so Wikilookup should check for these.
