Error “You must call ‘the_content’ function in the current template”
-
Hi there
I have a site in a subfolder on WordPress (/wp). I did this in order for me to work on the site without people being able to get to the site.
Now that I made the site live, I researched on how to move the site to the root. I ended up not having to physically move the site but simply changed the site URL under settings to not include the /wp and then edited the index.php to still point to the subfolder ( /
require( dirname( __FILE__ ) . ‘/wp/wp-blog-header.php’ ); )Works great. BUT now I cannot edit my site with Elementor anymore! It gives me the error “You must call ‘the_content’ function in the current template”.
I am by NO means a developer or coder, I research what I need to do and apply it – so TOTALLY a noob at this.
Please help! I have deactivated and deleted Elementor and reinstalled and activated it…no luck, still same error. Gives me this on ALL the pages.
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
