@joshdraha thanks for letting me know about this. Someone else said there was a similar error but didn’t sent me the precise details.

I’ll fix this and release a new version in the next hour or so, please install this one and you’ll be fine.

Note that when you uninstall the plugin, you’ll lose all the collected review data.

    1. Fixing the error – update to 2.13 when it’s released soon
    2. More than 10 reviews – collect reviews over time, set the limit to 10, or you can use the HTML Import in the Advanced tab to kick start the reviews

@joshdraha Resolved the array count error in version 2.13. It would be a once-only error because once set, the array exists and can be counted. In any case, version 2.13 corrects this issue.

I’m sorry for the inconvenience caused here.

Awesome! Thanks for the quick reply!. I try it tomorrow.

PS: The plugin only lets me select up to 5 reviews. I tried leaving the selection blank for all the reviews and it still only does 5. Any idea why that might be?

Uploaded the new 2.13 plugin and it has this error: Notice: Undefined variable: retrieval in /home/dh_sbjm83/whmilwaukee.com/wp-content/plugins/g-business-reviews-rating/index.php on line 1898

@joshdraha Thanks for making me aware of this issue. I see that there can be an instance where the variable is not set – so I am releasing a small update to resolve this. Please download Version 2.14.

With the plugin only letting you select up to 5 reviews – do you only have 5 reviews retrieved using the Google Places API? It will gradually collect more over time but will only ever get 5 (most relevant) at each time. This is a restriction in place with Google’s service.

To get more reviews, you may wish to use the Advanced HTML Import functionality in the Advanced tab.

I have also written about this limitation in the FAQ.

Does this help explain your current status?

    Thanks again,

    Noah

Updated. I get this error now on the reviews page: Notice: Undefined index: icon in /home/dh_sbjm83/whmilwaukee.com/wp-content/plugins/g-business-reviews-rating/index.php on line 1779

    Page: https://whmilwaukee.com/reviews/

@joshdraha In Advanced tab, clear the cache and it should sort out the missing data caused by the previous error. If this doesn’t work, please let me know?

    Thanks,

    Noah

@joshdraha You have the latest version and there’s a a variable not set or similar?

Please can you post the error as it shouldn’t exist any more?

    Thanks,

    Hello,

I have the same problem and followed all instructions, doesn’t work. Error message is the same: Error: Your Google API Key is not valid for this request and permission is denied. Please check your Google API Key.

I created the Key on https://console.developers.google.com/apis/credentials/key

    Settings:

Application restrictions: Radio Button IP addresses is on
Accept requests from these server IP addresses: The IP the WordPress backend gives me is pasted here
API restrictions: Restrict Key is restricted to Places API

    Troubleshooting:

    1. trying it over and over again ??
    2. Creating a new Key and restricting it afterwards

    Nothing helps ??

    Can you help me?

    Thanks a lot!
    Dirk
